Ends n odds
I know
what you’re thinking, “what am I going to do with all this extra lumber”. Well here I
am going to add some, do it yourself projects, for around the home.
When
I am done with the interior trim in a house I always end up with a significant amount of leftover hardwood. Most times if
it is a piece of wood that has been cut down from a standard size and the lumberyard won’t take it back. The builder
will only save a small amount for future homes or they will just get overburdened with extra lumber. Usually the smaller pieces
will just get thrown in the dumpster. It seems a quite a waste of natural resources but it’s a fact of life. I will
bring home a lot of lumber to save it from the landfill. After a while it tends to build up in my shop and I will use it up
for small projects for around the house. Unfortunately, due to a lack of foresight, I have made dozens of these kinds of projects
over the years without documenting them. I will try to rectify this and add them here as the project happens.
